A journey I took, and one you might love too…

Hey Mama,
Ever felt like you’re doing all the things, and somehow still feeling not enough?
Ever feel like you’re running on empty, juggling a million things, and wondering if you’re doing any of it right?
Me too. You’re not alone. Motherhood is a beautiful mess, filled with love, chaos, and everything in between.
But here’s the thing: we deserve happiness, too.
So I decided to try a 30-day joy experiment.
Just one small thing each day, for me.
Spoiler: it didn’t solve all my problems, but it gave me space to breathe, laugh, and even enjoy the mess a little more.
Here’s what I did—and maybe, just maybe, it’ll help you too. 💛
Week 1: Reconnect with Yourself 🌿
Day 1: Morning Me-Time ☕
I started waking up just 10 minutes earlier. No laundry. No school prep. Just me, my coffee, and silence. It became sacred. Trust me—those 10 minutes feel like a whole spa retreat when you’re a mom.
Day 2: Step into the Sun 🌞
A morning walk with baby in the stroller gave me a burst of vitamin D and sanity. Nature therapy is real. Try it—even a short step out to your balcony helps.
Day 3: Move Your Body 💃
I danced in my living room like no one (except my toddler) was watching. Instant mood booster. You don’t need a gym. Just your favorite song and a little shimmy.
Day 4: Dress Up for You 👗
One day, I ditched the spit-up kurta and wore that outfit I loved—just for me. My energy shifted. I looked in the mirror and saw myself again.
Day 5: Write It Down 📝
I wrote down three things I’m good at. One was “knowing where everything is in the house,” which totally counts. Try this. You’ll be surprised how awesome you actually are.
Day 6: Fresh Air Fix 🌬️
I made it a rule: 15 minutes outside, no excuses. Park, terrace, garden, even a street stroll. Breathing in fresh air clears more than just lungs. Even with the kids. They get to expend their energy outdoors too!
Day 7: Treat Yourself 🍦
One day, I had a brownie I didn’t share. And I savored it. Sometimes joy is chocolatey and selfish. And that’s okay.
Week 2: Nurture Your Relationships 🤝
Day 8: Bloom Indoors 🌷
I bought fresh flowers for the dining table. Every time I walked by, I smiled. A tiny reminder that beauty lives in small things.
Day 9: Deep Clean Delight 🧼
I tackled a kitchen drawer I’d been avoiding for a year. Felt like decluttering my brain. Bonus: I found my missing measuring spoon.
Day 10: Solo Outing 🚶♀️
I went to the bookstore alone. Alone. No diaper bags. No sippy cups. Just me and shelves of quiet. Glorious. Try a solo coffee or a market trip. You’ll come back lighter.
Day 11: Glam Up 💄
I put on lipstick for no reason. My toddler called me a princess. My husband looked pleasantly shocked. Confidence? Recharged.
Day 12: Adult Conversation ☎️
Had a heart-to-heart with a friend. No kid talk. Just us. Our dreams. Our drama. That one hour filled my emotional tank.
Day 13: Friend Time 🥂
Met a mom friend for tea. No one judged our under-eye bags. We laughed till we cried about potty training fails. 10/10 would recommend.
Day 14: Laugh Out Loud 😂
Watched a stand-up special. Laughed until I snorted. I needed that release more than I realized. Mama, you need it too.
Week 3: Simplify and Savor 🍃
Day 15: Stress Audit 🧐
I wrote down what’s stressing me—laundry mountain, messy kitchen, no time for me. Just writing it out helped me spot what I could delegate or ditch.
Day 16: Meditate 🧘♀️
Tried a 5-minute guided meditation. Didn’t reach nirvana, but I did stop yelling for a full hour afterward. Win.
Day 17: Delegate Duties 🧹
I made a chore chart (cute stickers and all). My toddler loves wiping tables now. My husband? Still in training. But help is help.
Day 18: Neighborhood Stroll 🚶♀️
Evening walks became our mini family ritual. We point out cats, wave at neighbors, and talk about our day. It’s the little stuff that sticks.
Day 19: Morning Routine Revamp ⏰
I prepped lunchboxes the night before. Laid out clothes. No more morning mayhem. Mornings became almost peaceful.
Day 20: Movie Night 🎬
Put the kids to bed early (well, earlier). Re-watched Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani with popcorn. Romance rekindled—with myself and Ranbir Kapoor. 😏
Day 21: Comparison Detox 🚫
I muted some “perfect mom” accounts on social media. What a relief. My life isn’t curated—and I’m learning to love that.
Week 4: Embrace Joy and Growth 🌈
Day 22: Healthy Habit 🌿
Started drinking more water (finally!). Added fruit to my breakfast. Small tweaks, but they made me feel more in control.
Day 23: Breakfast for You 🍳
Ate a warm breakfast instead of cold cereal leftovers. I sat down and actually chewed. Revolutionary.
Day 24: Digital Detox 📵
Went screen-free for a day. I read. Played board games. Didn’t scroll once. That peace? Chef’s kiss.
Day 25: Bubble Bath Bliss 🛁
Used the fancy bath gel. Lit a candle. Soaked in silence while my husband handled bedtime. Heaven.
Day 26: Learn Something New 📚
Watched a free Canva tutorial. Felt like I was dusting off an old part of my brain. New knowledge = new confidence.
Day 27: Plan for Growth 🌱
Made a little plan to pursue that side hustle I’ve been dreaming about. You don’t have to go big—just start somewhere.
Day 28: Gratitude Journal 📓
Wrote down three things I was thankful for: my baby’s giggle, clean pajamas, and five minutes of peace. It grounded me.

Day 29: Family Fun 🎉
We had a dance party in the living room. The baby clapped. The toddler twirled. We all laughed. This. This is why.
Day 30: Reflect and Celebrate 🎊
I looked back. I wasn’t perfect. I skipped a few days. But I felt better. Calmer. More me. And that’s worth everything.

Final Juju 💫
Mama, if I can do this with two kids, a cat who thinks he’s royalty, and a forever messy kitchen—you can too.
Pick a few. Try them all. Or just start with Day 1.
Because a happier you? That’s the best gift your family could ever get.
With lots of love, and good juju,
Pallavi 💛
